Wondered if anyone has shared the same problem as me and can shed any light.
About a fortnight ago, I have lost connection from the Wireplay servers about 10 minutes into a game. Not a major thing, but when I tried to reconnect, nothing happens . And "find internet games" in UT just brings up a long list of 9999's.
I noticed my modem going into overdrive, flashing away and I left it to see how long it would go on for. 20 minutes and a building phone bill later I gave up and disconnected.
Now whenever the I get disconnected from the server (which happens a lot) I have to disconnect from WP direct and reconnect every time. Tried it with NTL free and it doesn't seem to have the same problem, still get disconnected, but can rejoin easily. The lag during the game is much worse though, rendering it virtually unplayable.
This problem has only recently come about and I've changed nowt on my set up. My modem has always been set up using the advice on Slime's site. It only seems to be me with the problems on said servers, but only with WP Direct. Can anyone give any advice?
