Can you use a cable modem along side your BT phone lines? I want a cable modem but I can’t swap companies. Basically the rest of the house will have normal BT phones I just want 1 cable line for a modem.

Cheers

Yeah, thats fine. I've got my own NTL line with a cable television line and I'm just waiting for the cable modem service to become available in my area and I'm going to sign up to that and save myself about £15 a month.

The rest of the family is using the old BT connection like the mugs that they are and not getting cable telly and stuff. hahahahahahahaha! http://www.wireplay.co.uk/ubb/smile.gif

Well I've got BT and still have cable in the house http://www.wireplay.co.uk/ubb/smile.gif

Went from satelite dish & bt to cable tv & phone and now have BT Homehighway besides the cable.

BT were abit weird first of all though due to the phone number been a cable one but have been alot more helpful than the cable company was, when I was looking into different things and trying to get information etc http://www.wireplay.co.uk/ubb/smile.gif

It also pays to ring up more than once as sometimes the peeps on the other end can be very helpful or not so to put it lightly http://www.wireplay.co.uk/ubb/smile.gif

But I think somehow I will be on ADSL before having a cablemodem due to our cable company just joining Telewest.
