To be pessimistic, I'm finding details of this scheme a little rare. The site itself doesn't (or didn't last time I looked) offer too much info.

Roll on launch day so I can watch what happens http://www.wireplay.co.uk/ubb/smile.gif

hmmm yes. Woohoo it may be, but I for one am content to let someone else try this one out for a while.

Screaming.net is only just getting sorted after a couple of months or so (irrespective of whose fault it was).

There really is no such thing as a free lunch.

Also... zdnet (www.zdnet.co.uk) had some interesting articles regarding data calls recently. I don't know what those working in the industry might know but it seems likely that BT are going to make a new set of low tarriff data only numbers available. Not a perfect solution but certainly worth investigating...

Still, it's all heading in the right direction! http://www.wireplay.co.uk/ubb/teeth.gif

Don't get over worked with the idea of free calls since its likely that you'll never get to connect to the service.

well, i've been dialing since 8am this morning and its now half 6, and aint got through once - too much f*cking hasstle i reckon.... heres the low down on the service

1) u have to be on a BT line
2) u HAVE to register using DD or a Credit card to make use of their 145 Service
3) you donot have to use the 145 service, but if u don;t you could use your free access to thenet.
4) the 145 service gives you 30% off any voice/data calls.

if i get a holdof anymroe info i'll post it.

A quick question here. If it is an 0800 number, how come you have to be a BT subscriber?? All telephone companies have 0800 numbers as a free number. How can they possibly stop that?? No matter what telephone company you use, it is still free.

If you'd had me when you were 14 then I could be your son http://www.wireplay.co.uk/ubb/smile.gif but I'm not to clear that one up for everyone http://www.wireplay.co.uk/ubb/smile.gif

I wish I could get through to sign up! It's even harder for me with not having a credt card and all, a parent has to be there! grr...
