View Full Version : Booking Update
Right, at the end of the weekend the bookings stand as follows:
QW 130
Q2 52
Other 13
(195 Total)
I expect the Other places will be slashed today and many of those on the waiting list be let through, but more on that later.
booking number 01514 (I think dont have email here) awaits email . . . . .

As agonising as it may be , I can't re-allocate places yet as many of the strategy people have asked for more time to spread the word. I will therefore in all likelihood extend it another week.

Is it actually going to fill up? Booking seems to have slowed down loads since when it was announced. There's now 195 people, so 105 to go... will you make it?
Hopefully there'll be more than 13 others though http://www.wireplay.co.uk/ubb/smile.gif

I know we'll make it. Word takes longer with certain people but I'm sure we'll make the 300 mark.

When's the list of "who's going" going to be set up?

Next week when we've filled it up.
As soon as all the data has been ported into the database we'll have an automatic list go up on the multiplay site. Should be later on this evening but by tomorrow evening at the very latest (guess what I'm doing as I type this :-) )

Boa,
How come your first submission was for Quake World then m8? If a submission comes in from an existing email address it is brought to my attention, and I'll put you in the first area you signed up for.
However, if you would like to go into the other category, I'll transfer your submission. Can you send me a mail stating your booking reference please?
im number 01570 is that good sounds a bit high to me any chance of getting in cause its sounds a bit to big http://www.wireplay.co.uk/ubb/frown.gif

I'm number 01420 - the 19th person to register. I have sent my check off (last Friday morning) and I still ain't got any reply of any sort back, saying you've got the cheque. There is still the possibility that it got lost in the post (grrrr), but I wanna make sure.
-Annoyed/anxious Terron
Lo People,
I'm in the same boat as Terron, my booking number is 01473 and i posted me cheque on Saturday, but still no reply. Please end our anxiety NOW :-).
Guys,
We got a fistful of cheques in the second mail... Terron I know is among them so fret not m8... you'll get your confirmations tomorrow :-).

(Mnem worried that a couple of her clan m8s who are stuck on the waiting list aint gonna get a place!)

I'm about to move the next 5 people on the waiting list through, as some of the club captains have declined to come and their places have become available.
hey creamy. you posted your cheque on saturday yeah?
Ok, does the postie work on a Sunday...I think not. I expect you'll get a reply later today when the postie delivers your cheque after having a nice lie-in on Sunday http://www.wireplay.co.uk/ubb/smile.gif

I'm sending a postal order today! (lost me cheque book and spent days looking for it). Please save my Q2 place http://www.wireplay.co.uk/ubb/smile.gif
How about credit/debit card booking as an option next time?
Cheers,
KIT[KAT]
Book Ref: 01477
We've got a quote from the bank about credit/debit cards and a decision as to whether we take them on is expected within a week. It would help if we had an idea of exactly how many people would use them in preference, because if it's only a few it isn't worth it really.
I wouldn't mind paying the 5%-10% visa commission (bloody postal orders aren't cheap either).
Credit cards are easier and better, more convenient.
The problem is peoples terror at using them over the net(It's safer than the phone), big obstacle this.
You would also need a SSL compatible (and set up server) and the software writing....damn expensive stuff.
Soz to appear patronising, thought other peeps might like the info too.
Russ
Our current server can handle SSL no problem, there's just the cost of getting the relevent certificates from Verisign, etc. However, what we'd probably do is offer you the choice of sending it in the form (obviously BIG warning about that) or just to give us a ring and tell us it.
The only problem from our point of view is there are more expenses than just the surcharges (like startup fee, minimum charges per month, etc.). We're looking into it and it is likely we'll go for it purely for convenience.

I don't think the venue has an address as such, although we will be looking into arranging something with Amtrak couriers for people who wish to ship their PCs down for the event.
As for hotels, we'll be putting up a list of those nearby shortly. There have been a few messages posted with details of the local area, so browse down and you should find something.
It'd be great if you could give us some idea of the party's location within Bicester (a road name would be fine) - I'm about to book some hotel rooms, but want to make sure that the venue isn't too far away.
