I'd love to buy R2 but....

Apart from my earlier comments about release dates and extra's the main reasons are because alot of R2 films are still cut :(.
All previously banned horror films are still missing scenes available on R1, zombie flesh eaters is still missing the 'wood thru eye' scene, dawn of the dead is the same as the Uk video release.
Enter the dragon is missing the nunckuks (spelling?) scene and Arnies Eraser was trimmed to pass a 15 cert.

These and others just puts me off R2 as the BBFC have too much power over what we see and don't see imo and the introduction of this exciting new format hasn't changed their old fashioned -1984- opinions.

mind you, i've got the US version of basic instinct, and thats *definitely* got stuff missing when compared to the UK version.

but, things like Fifth Element have a US running time of 127 minutes and 121 in the UK. Maybe thats related to the 30fps - 25fps business, but, er, if that was the case then UK version would have a longer running time. which it doesn't. Just get a player that can do both, and you've got yourself covered.
