Samsung 709, about £220. Forget what you've heard about it not playing The Matrix and others. As long as its had its EPROM upgraded, all new ones have, it will play everything. You then go to the Argos lending library, borrow a One for All remote, follow the instructions here http://homepage.dtn.ntl.com/david.patton/faq/index.htm
then take the remote back. Voila, one multi region DVD player thats not had its insides touched by some YTS trainee and still has its full MANUFACTURERS guarantee. Its got great picture quality, Dolby digital/DTS/Mpeg digital outputs and can output a PAL signal from an NTSC disc so you don't need a TV that can handle NTSC. I don't work for Samsung by the way but I am trying to spread the gospel. The 709 is a bargain!
that Techtronics place is a *litttle* bit expensive from what i saw...
