Keeping it real for the ALS
big panasonic tv, pioneer pro-logic amp (older than the moon now), pioneer laserdisc player (older than the amp that is older than the moon).
Goodmans 28" TV (£250 from comet), Kenwood KAV8500 amp, set of 4 MP-5 speakers, Pioneer DVL-919 (hopefully arriving mid Jan - supplied by insurance after laserdisc player fell off shelf).
Two questions:
1) Will the optical lead from the DVL-919 work with the kenwood amp?
2) Since the insurance offers no option of a ready mod'ed unit where can I get it done?

wow K FLINT nice setup.
For me its
Sony 32 inch widescreen (non wega)
Sony slv-f900 video
Sony DVP-715 DVD player
Sony STR-DB930 processor with SA-VE 705 surround speakers and subwoofer
Sony scala 1 hifi with audioquest Topaz interconnects
Sony MDS-JB930 minidisc deck
Sony MZR-55 recordable minidisc walkman
As you can see i like sony stuff
With the learning remote on my processor i can operate nearly all of my hardware without having to sit with 4 remotes. :)

JVC 32" Widescreen tv
Panasonic A350 modified (and currently fecked) DVD player
Sony TA-VE150 Amp (come with center speaker and 4 satalite speakers)
Sony SA-W305 subwoofer
Amp is 5.1 multichannel input only as the DVD player has built-in DD decoder, still sounds fanatastic though :)
Sharp NICAM video
Nokia ONdigital reciever
All connected up with IXOS AV and Scart cables
oh and those black speaker stands from Argos :)

Yeah that post did take quiet a while do to http://forums.gameplay.com/ubb/teeth.gif
Actually I was waiting for someone to turn up on ICQ and thought I'd just post a simple list of my kit while I was waiting.
Still they didn't turn up so I decided to add a few links, then a few more, then a few more http://forums.gameplay.com/ubb/teeth.gif
It all started off in April (the kit - not the list!) when my gf said she wanted a DVD player for her birthday.
I guess you could say that things got a bit outta hand and we ended up spending enough to but a small car!
Oh well - won't rust like a car would ;)

Indeed and will give a whole lot more satisfaction
