I have a question for anyone else with a DVD drive on their PC.
Can I play American DVD's on it or is there a difference in standards?? i am asking because a freind has recommended an American company as a god place to buy DVD's from - as they are out earlier over there.
Basically yes, but you will find the software has had a nasty little bit of a tweak from the manufacturers preventing more than about 5 region changes, so you have to use one of the programs available here http://perso.libertysurf.fr/dvdutils/cracks.htm
Just took delievery of 12 Region 1's - nice :)
Does anyone know how to capture an image off a dvd. When I pause and press [prtsc] I manage to get the picture but after it is saved and the DVD changes the JPG also changes to match the DVD?

To capture images off DVD u need a screen grabber that is capable of grabbing DirectX Overlay.
One such program is HyperSnap-DX Pro available Here (http://www.hyperionics.com/)
The grabber will not work with all drives and is an evaluation copy only. However, some ppl say u can get serialz from places like this (http://www.thehackerszone.com/serials/H.html) but then I wouldnt know anything about that :)
