Hey gang The Mummy is out this month here in Region 2 land. I got this for Xmas for my mate and its actually pretty sweet. Cool action and effects and doesn't take itself too seriously. Which is nice.

any thoughts of stocking and selling r1 dvd's on wireplay...saying that...i ordered r2 the exorcist from here 02/01/00 and im still waitng 4 it..(7 days+)
god knows how long id be waiting 4 the latest american releases!!!

I looked into R1 DVDs after we chatted about it on here. Unfortunately it is illegal to sell movies etc in the UK if they do not contain the BBFC ratings on the packaging and at the start of the film.

If you need to chase an order you can contact customer.service@gameplay.com and they will let you know its status.

theres a comic shop in brighton called 'hive' who sell region 1 DVDs but they are far too overpriced, which is stupid seeing as they are pretty cheap to buy over the net.

think they got busted while i was in there one day, can't be sure though.

i thought it was ok as long as you (the vendor) acted as the purchasers personal importer for region 1 dvd's..

may be wrong though ;)

ah yeah, heh just saying to you in the other thread about them, and um.. you' already been there.. well, R2's from there are fairly cheap, although you have to keep a look out of the bargains. Not that any DVD is really a bargain...
