Does anyone know exactly what their problem is regarding the release of their films onto DVD?

George Lucas himself, the man who prides himself on visual and aureal quality. The man who came up with THX. Still hasnt gotten his fat overloaded with money arse into gear and released Star Wars or Indy on DVD.

Why?

You would think that he would be jumping at the chance to put his beloved films onto a more quality medium for home viewing. Instead he continues to release in VHS as with Episode1, no DVD release.

Does this p!ss you off as much as it does me?

Hi ya

Well... Lucas spent ****loads of money on DIVX which flopped big time. A lot of people think that because of this Lucas has decided to have sour grapes over it.

Star Wars would be GREAT on DVD, but alas... won't happen.

Can't you see what the clever Mr Lucas is doing? He's releasing the VHS Phantom menace next month and holding back with the DVD until everyone's got a copy. Once he's raked in the cash he'll put the DVD out and sucker's like us will go and buy it thus doubling his lolly. It's a shining example of how he has become bigger than the industry he's in and it gets on my t!ts.

We should try boycotting the VHS release, maybe he'll think twice in future.
