Buying dvd's From the states

HI i ordered Taxi driver and Shawshank redemption from dvd express.The order came to about $42but it has been a week and they have still not arrived do you think they could have been ceized by customs if so how can i find out. Thanks.

Wouldn't worry just yet.
Orders I place at Reel.com and Amazon seem to take about 10 working days (2 weeks) to get to me. Give it another week or so then e-mail DVD Express and say you haven't received your order yet.

No need to worry just yet. I order quite a few DVDs from the States, they average about 10 days (from Amazon and DVD Express). I have had some turn up in 7, and some as much as 21 days. I've only ever had 1 seized by Customs.

I ordered American Pie from DVD Express... was sent out on Saturday and I got it yesterday (thursday).
Not bad - and I never paid for express delivery!

I ordered aliens Special edition from dvd express on a thursday it turned up on next tuesday :)
One tip order items one day apart so that they go out serpate so the shipping cost is low and the cost is cheap as buying over here
