Razz: The plan is that eventually the TFC community will forget they ever belonged to TFC and gradually switch over to Actua Soccer 2 (Its part of Darwin’s theory of evolution).

Gareth: I think a fantasy football league is a must

Ok, fantasy football league sounds great to me too. The opportunity that is before us is to collectively create something that we all want to play - so get those ideas and concepts rolling in to me and I'll act on them. gareth.morris@gameplay.com. By the way has anyone managed to play ISS on the psx yet - it is really quite excellent indeed.

Ive not played it but people have told me it’s a fantastic game. Hmmm wonder if it will work on a playstation emulator?

Is there a PC release due?

Don't think there's a pc release planned on it but I'll try and sort a review copy out for you to try on your emulator. I've also managed to score some top giveaway prizes from Konami (who make ISS) for the launch of the football site so keep your ear to the ground - hopefully it'll be better than a t-shirt.

......errrrrr......Hi? Mr Moderator, you'll get in a lot of trouble if your posting about Emulators on the board you supposed to be moderating.

BTW, I might actually try Actua Soccer 2 sometime soon..... :)

Gee, your all tooo funny.

I think you'll find that you can purchase the playstaion emulator. Its the roms and copied cd's that make emulation illegal. I mainly have demo games (courtesy of Pizza Hut, hmmm Pizza) otherwise I hire a game.

stop talking about emulators you bad chaps - I need help constructing a fantasy football legue - francais, francais, aidez moi! Please let's get the ideas flowing - does anyone want to play a championship manager game via football.gameplay.com site - with big prizes?

The championship manager game seems like an extremely good idea. There seem to be a few options open in setting it up:

1) To be live and multiplayer.
The problem here is that typical manager games are slow and time consuming. The time span of the game would need to be reduced.

2) To be live but independent of other players. This seems like the best solution especially if the game could be saved. This could mean seasons being played over a length of time and the best manager is the one with the most trophies.

Have you had any thoughts on how to implement the game over the net? I've not had much experience with Internet manager games. Anybody got any thoughts?

Fantasy Football League (FFL)-
I think we need an FFL will a difference. Not sure how to make it different. I would give it some thought but I am still thinking about Pizza Hut and now Beire. Actually Pizza (meat feast) and a bottle of Dry White is a very tasty combination.

I must remember to get out more.

[Aside: This page is sponsored by Pizza Hut and Carling Premiere.]

I'm not talking about the legality of Emulators and roms. Just that i've seen many people get in trouble for talking about that sort of thing on these boards.

A thought crosses my mind. How about having a fantasy football game based on Championship Manager. You could produce a list of Premiership players that could be auctioned off, then start a game (not choosing a Prem side) and play a weeks worth of games each week and update the stats for the players on the site. It would be a lot of work mind you.

Cheers,

Chas

Chas, i really like your idea and have had a simlair thought myself - you are right about it being a lot of work though. Perhaps a version could be constructed that was a bit simpler - perhaps adding more of a random - lottery type element to the matches - idon't know - hope there are others out there who want there voices to be heard. By the way I won my first ISS match today I played Germany and my flatmate was England 1 - 0. I scored in the first half with a frankly stunning chipped cross which left the Engkand defence looking like Sunday League down the Isle of Dogs - I am a happy man

For a decent fantasy football game, try:
http://www.cyki.com

There is also one where I supplied the sats for. Can't remember the Address though.

If you decide to join the first one, I am in Derby league, Alsville Rovers is the team name
