Problem with Actua Soccer 2 multiplayer on Wireplay. HELP!

I love the game, and tried to take part in the tourney on Sunday night. I say "tried" because thought the games got started, my control was all over the place. MY players refused to move, I couldn't hit the ball, and this was with both my joypad and keyboard. Yes, both work fine in single player, so what could the problem be? HELP!!!

My system (could there be a condflict?) -
Athlon 650
256MB RAM
SB Live
TnT 2 M64
MS Sidewinder Freestyle Pro joypad
Windows 98

This is a new one on me. So I may not be much help but I shall look into it.

In the mean time, when I have had trouble with my controls its usually related to the Winsock file. I beleive you can get an updated file from the microsoft website.

My trouble was with the Winsock2 file (which was the upgrade to winsock1!). You may wish to try winsock1.
