View Full Version : I love B's gate, but...
I have completed the single player game, so how is the multiplaer version supposed to work??
I come from a Q2 background, so excuse me for being thick.
If you're after a Hard B.astard Dwarfen fighter, let me know.
Well I've tried the multiplayer a couple of times now - and appart from the initial embaressment when you've imported your level 1 fighter only to find everyone else is using level 7 mages it ain't to bad...
Basically its the same as the single player but your party starts with whoever has joined the multiplayer game...
Then it all depends on what you want to do - some people seem to think they'll just run to the end as they have the char to do it whilst others (well me http://www.wireplay.co.uk/ubb/smile.gif) want to take my time and complete it properly...
Your best bet is to pick a couple of m8s who you already know and just have a laugh with it - although I should warn you it is still slightly prone to randomly throwing people out of the game...
Other than that it should add some extra shelf life - just make sure you get the leader of the party to turn all permissions on - otherwise you'll find they are the only ones who can actually speak to others etc - quite frustrating after a while...

How is it supposed to work multiplay - good question I haven't actually managed to get everything together for a game yet - boo hoo.
Still, its just the same as the singleplayer game - which can be fun. The guy hosting the game can decide what can be imported into the session - i.e. he can say stats only, stats and levels or stats, levels and equipment.
So you shouldn't have to be embarrased about 1st levels with 8th levels with a good party. Just make sure you have agreed what you are going to play in advance.
I need to get going on the single player game - still on chapter 5 - but now in Baldurs itself - doppleganger hunting
