View Full Version : Is my computer good enough?
Is it worth buying Baldurs gate to run on a P200, 32megs ram, 8Mb video card, 36x Cd rom drive?
erm shouldn't be a problem mate, although you might want to up the 32 meg of ram. The AI is the thing that chews processor time, and, it ain't 3d as yet so you don't need a spanking v2 sli setup or anything to run it.

Only problem I had was due to my tiny 3gb hard disk.
To run well it really wants about 780mb of HD space.
Eeek.
Works much better on full install http://www.wireplay.co.uk/ubb/smile.gif
Just delete Windows Braindead - I'm sure you can run it with just DOS installed http://www.wireplay.co.uk/ubb/wink.gif
780mb!! I was going to buy B Gate but now I am not going to even touch it until I can afford that 10.1gig drive I have had my eye on http://www.wireplay.co.uk/ubb/frown.gif
780mb!! I thought Half Life was bad.
I might be wrong but if you do a custom install with only the required files and a small disk cache you'll probably find it taking about 200mb - which is fairly reasonable...
Woah, thats a lot of disk space, I think Ill stick with MAgic & MAyhem and maybe it'll be on WP one day.....

Sure you can do a 200mb install, but when it changes scene you'll have just enough time to make a cup of tea, have a quick jog, play a short game of chess and read the entire Bible.
Twice.
