Lowest Armour Class + Wasnt Saveok Hard!

After finishing the game - I could only get my Armour class down to -8
With ROP -2 , Gaunts Of Dex, Full Plate +1, Large Sheild +1
Anybody got lower? - Its fun watching the monsters 'try' and hit you.
P.s Was it my imagiantion or was the end boss hard - I only managed to kill 2 out of the 4 end bosses using level 4/5 characters.

erm -9 (me) and -11 (velvet) are the lowest I know of, I think you can get lower, but haven't got all the kit to do it yet http://www.wireplay.co.uk/ubb/smile.gif

First time through I managed to kill all the four at the end, but lost 5 6/7 level chearacters and had about 2 hit points left, so teah, there were a bit hard http://www.wireplay.co.uk/ubb/smile.gif

Thats starting with a base armour class of four with full plate armour, ring of protection +2, Drizzt's Defender (sword) +5 and a large shield +1...

As for the guys at the end I managed to kill one by getting him to chase me before I'd had to converse with Saverok... Then it was Saverok's turn and I did it only losing one char and suffering no hit points to the rest...

I've not tried to get a really low AC, -3 being the best i've had so far.
I killed the end bosses with 6 5/6th level characters. They all died first time round, but on my second attempt i didn't lose anyone http://www.wireplay.co.uk/ubb/smile.gif
(tho when i think about it, my tactics weren't really what i would call sporting. didn't cheat tho)

Saverok makes Drizzts look like Gibberlings...

that's how i lost all but 2 hp and the rest of my party, walked in and started shooting http://www.wireplay.co.uk/ubb/smile.gif wouldn't advise it though, took about 6 arrows of detonation to kill his buddies, and then me running like **** and shooting normail arrows at him till he died http://www.wireplay.co.uk/ubb/smile.gif

thinking about it, i prolly did as much damage to my own party with them arrows of detonation.

With those low ACs - how come you guys can combine Magical Armour and Rings of Protection? Whenever I try it it won't let me use that combo - can only get my AC down to ummmm -6 I think (Dex19, Full Plate +1, Shield +1)?

You basically need items which aren't magically protective (as their main attribute) and yet do have an AC bonus... Examples being the fact that you can't wear a ring of protection + 2 (or + 1) with a cloak of protection but you can wear it with the cloak of Balduran which still gives you the same AC reduction...

Umm, I thought Sarevok was a piece of **** tbh (admittedly I died at the first attempt, cos his wizard buddy fireballed all of my decidedly unwell party).

Second time I just used my wand of summoning until empty - which gave me about 30 Hobgoblin archers, then just let them nail the crap out of the bad guys - removing their protection from normal missiles with arrows of dispelling from my ranger. I lost 80% of the hobgobs, but didn't need to involve my party in the fight at all.

You also need the helmet and cloak of Balduran, located in Baldur's Gate (exact locations announced on request)...
