The secret is to stop him getting near you - so its Wands of monster summoning all round
Cast around 3 around him so he cant get to you - then a few away - hopefully these will be hobgoblin archers which really annoy drizzt - keep casting the Monsters and he shall die! I lost 10 repution points first time I did it though!

where is wand of monster summoning?

if i cant get, ill just necklace of missiles the gnolls and cast raise undead
will skeletons do just as well?

You may be able to get the wand of monster summoning from High Hedge, although I have a funny feeling you need to pop into the big wizard shop in Baldur's Gate to get it...

i killed him after being chased around in circles and a pack of my hounds dug into him with hobgoblins
i got 12000 xp and his stuff and lost 10 rep

Personally I considered getting his stuff and the xp worth the loss in reputation... You'll soon build it back up again (personally I donated several thousand to a temple to get my reputation back there and then)...

hey, i got a bug in my game
i killed drizzt,lost my rep and gained xp then saved it
then i reloaded it and i still had 20 rep and drizzt was still dead but i didnt get the 12k xp
fair trade?

where is his onyx panther???

His Onxy Panther is a spell only he knows I guess
I have a bug in mine too - everytime I reload a save game i seem to gain a bout 30-50 hit points (no kidding)

P.s Ive just about gone through the game single handedly with my level 9/10 Fighter/
Mage which was fun
