Gold ok 17000 , reputation back up to 13, have chatted to scar, level of caharacters at last 5-6 , spells potions magic boots/cloaks etc galore

I presume you've wandered along the bridge - must've to have met Scar... Keep going past the short dude on the path (add him to your party if you want) then follow the path into Baldur's Gate (about an angle of 8 'o clock)... I presume this is where you're having problems as it took me ages to actually get into Baldur's Gate as there is nothing visible on the other side of the wall to direct your party to until you get to the other side of the wall...

also ive found two bodies in the swerers who do they belong to !!

If I remember correctly the house you need for the thieves guild quest is just to the north east of the market - it maybe on the screen north, east, south or west of this though as Baldur's Gate gets a bit big and confusing...

Those bodies belong to me - give them back!!!

There are loads and loads if shops in Baldur's Gate supplying everything you need and more (actually this is a lie they sell cheap crap)...

The cook, is that the one that wants it up her???
