Ah well, just have to wait. It seems to have crashed the Zone, anyway.

How are those lucky people with the game doing?

It's funny, I have access to all the games that Brits don't just yet, but hell if I can play them online cause I'm in the US.

How disturbing.

3 Days to go

I don't understand that at all, Grace :o

Well, I don't know anyone in the US that I'd wanna play online games with. I only know gamers in the UK so I can't play online cause of lag or whatever. The techie probs would just p¡ss me off and playing would be no fun at all.

By 'access' to the games, I mean that the US usually gets new games first, then they come out in the UK later.

Yay! www.dragon.ca (http://www.dragon.ca) + Canadian mail have delivered AC two days early :D

LOL - I did understand the bit about access ;)

AC is Zone only, so I will have to contend with the lag-o-rama, though Fighter Ace 2 is fine.

Grace - we all play Asherons Call on US servers anyway - feel free to join us :)

Fidtz - glad to see its come through :) If you need any help getting started post here during the day and I'll give you some tips/arrange to meet you.

Thanks Velvet :)

One important thing! Due to US export ban, should I play with ny normal Zone account or make a new one up?

Meeting up in the game would be nicest :) I really like the look of the Sho stuff so I'll probably start there. I'll post the name tommorrow and you suggest a place to meet!

I setup a zone account just for this game - don't think they mind non-US players to that extent.

One of the best places to start (and where myself and many of my alliegance still live) is Shoushi. Its nice and central in terms of all the towns and on or close to the main portal networks (quick transportation between areas).

Cool, that is where I was going to start anyway :)

Yoshioka ;)

Ummm... how is it you can play on US servers, but everyone tells me I can't play on UK servers?

Fidtz

I think it has top do with internet topology. All the big backbones condense in the US so there is loads of bandwidth for those from outside to play in the US but the opposite way round for you.

You COULD play on open UK servers (not PowerPlay ;)) but the lag would be baaad. There is no technical reason, just performance. Give it a go, it may be ok!

Also the nature of the game requires much less bandwidth than many seen on Wireplay http://forums.gameplay.com/ubb/worry.gif (and :))

*bow*

respect to glorious leader etc. etc. :)

In all the time I was connected, only 22Mb downstream data!! Looow bandwidth.
