I'm on AC overload today but I think ac.stomped.com (http://ac.stomped.com) is an essential link. It's very useful for info and that's just from the FAQ I've read...

I just read they're planning on implementing the ability to own your own house!! Damn that is so cool, the concept is so good I must have this game... but would you have an intruder detector on your house or what if someone burnt it to the ground :p

To be fair UltimaOnline has houses and stuff but AC will have them in 3D (when they arrive :))

ac.stratics.com (http://ac.stratics.com) and www.acvault.com (http://www.acvault.com) are also good sites.

It makes me laugh to think you could say to someone... <<ohh, I've just gotta nip back to my house and grab my shield, I left it there this morning>>

:p ah well, simple things :)

Oh yep - I would really love houses. My allegiance (velvet being my immediate patron) has an "office" where we use our spare characters to store stuff for us, so it is possible to say that kind of thing now, from a certain point of view.

Where from tho'!! I have the cash but no shops are selling it in the UK... do I really have to wait a month for it on mail order from America/Canada?

I've been trying to find a flat rate evening call ISP since I think I'd like it a bit too much :p

Took 4 working days for me to get it from www.dragon.ca (http://www.dragon.ca)

The total cost, including delivery from canada was £41 :)

The maps are not stored or installed to your PC, the are streamed from the server as you run around, and the dungeons are loaded as you enter. Therefore they can change them whenever they want. They have just changed almost all the landscape textures.

There is only one map really, but considering its something like 26 miles from side to side you could run around it for ages :)

Any of you guys with it on order give me a shout over email as soon as you have it so I can show you about and get you started.

Nice one Neal...

damn, now I want the game a little bit more, I hate waiting, so impatient :)

Hmmm, I'm just looking over a few maps of the place, it's a lot better looking top down than I thought it would be, a nice "little" island... oh, and I just entered a competition for one years free subscription to Asheron's Call, if I got that it would just be pure heaven :)
