Turn to the Darktide

In an attempt to bring a sens of community to the AC users of Wireplay... I came up with this idea. You may have read that they're [Turbine] trying to get people to use the Darktide server and saying that it needs 'organising'.

Well, how about we all create characters of varying types on there and go and create an allegiance then we try and help other newbies on the server and also be general help to those around us.

I thought this could be a weekly event for maybe an hour or two [well, maybe more, less.. whatever] and we just all build up our characters together in a big fellowship, if we created the right set of characters we would be very powerful!

I know Wireplay doesn't support it or anything but surely there's more of us out there that use AC than just us :)

I thought it was a cool idea anyways... and yes, I am too afraid to create my own character on there. :p

Velvet, where'd you hear the rumour (oard/web etc.). If it really will start up in a few weeks then I probably won't get the copy I ordered from Dragon until after it's officially released here. Typical!

I take it the Darktide serv is a PvP one then? i just started up the other night and it seems a bloody good game. God knows wher ei am right now, i went though a portal thinking it was a dungeon one and ended up on the other side of the island :)

Spam, are you on Leafcull? If so give me a '@tell Zyxx' this evening and I'll come and help you out a bit.

I'm not really up for starting another character at the moment as there is currently a rumor that there will be a UK or European server within the next few weeks. It also now seems likely the game will be available in Europe about the same time. If there is a UK server I will probably be moving anyway - which means throwing away yet another character.

Angel, I doubt we'd be much help if we were only playing a couple of hours on Darktide a week. Its not a nice place - I have a level 4 there who just got chased around all over the place, but I doubt we could help much, even if there were like 40 of us.

Yeah, I went on the server last night... created a character at Holtburg and as soon as I spawned it some lamer killed me! He was level 1 also so it wasn't too bad... although there was some guy called Anti-wizards who just killed everyone in sight... fool.

This server requires a great deal of skill or a lot of patience.. neither of which I have vailable :) [well, patience at being constantly pk-ed]

A UK server... mmmmm, /drools. Although that'd be really hard to start with, people would all be new so there'd be no super rich patrons to give you stuff! eek :)

Anyone here know 'Hon' he [or she] is my patron for two characters... 'Dogma' and 'Warder Dogma'... one lvl 12, one lvl 4 -ish... Hon has given my mage about 15K in cash which was cool... and my warrior a full suit of nice AL armour...

The hope was that we could all get good characters on the server so we don't die as much... hunting in a pack is much safer than on your own it seems. Although I think trying to create a mage must be the hardest thing sicne you need to put so much into your quickness so you have a chance of fleeing away from all those nasty people that are ust out to get easy kills :eek:
