Really pissed off. Playing a championship season and after racing really well to win the Brazilian Grand Prix (hate that track) decided to use the cameras whilst waiting for the game to finish up. Then afterwards got awarded 6th place instead! So, if you have finished a grand prix don't let anyone overtake you until it's finished tidying up. Can't believe this bug - and yes I did win the race after 14 laps with a big message coming up as I crossed the line.

What! Thats a rediculous bug. No Grand Prix 2 did not do the same thing. After I finished a race a used to just leave the car (let it crash into a wall or something) and watch the rest of the field cross the finishing line. I always got awarded the correct finishing position.

Does this mean that if you finish - say - 2nd and overtake the winning car on the slow down lap then you will be awarded the race win?

hmm, I know I always had to keep driving in GP2 or I would get pushed back in the finishing posistions.
