Do you have a cyrix processor. I ain't seen anything anywhere that states those processors are compatible with the game

At what point is it doing that?

Loading the game or during it?

Also what spec machine have you got, and have you got all the latest drives for sound and graphics devices..?

Have you overclocked your processor, sometimes doing so can cause this kind of error.

I also got this a while ago, but only fixed it by replacing my memory chips with new ones.

Ditto. i used to get loads of GPFs with my o/ced P3 until I relaced one of the memory chips. Other than that, old graphics drivers are the most likely cause.
