Can I use Cable on the PP servers?

Im looking to get Cable, but im sure u can only get on the PP servers with a BT / wp direct connection..? I've heard soon they will allow any ISP to connect to them? If so.. WHEN??

You can access Wirepplay from any ISP already as Wireplay uses the connection config of IE. Wireplay when executing the *.exe offers you the choice of either connecting using WP Direct of Default internet connection.

The down side to your post is that you will have difficulty using cable modems with the present Wireplay architecture. This is due to the routing architecture still being routed via BT exchange feeds which are not up to cable transmissions. YOU CAN GIVE IT A GO but I cannot guarentee that it will work,

Do you know when BT will get itself sorted? I've seen some ppl with cable on the openplay servers with 40-80 ping =)

Just to clarify what I said in a bit more detail. BT do have the architectiure for coping with cable modems however the infrustructure supplied by BT to gameplay's feed is limited. Users are able to connect by cable modem but there are limited connections and as such you have to catch one.

Also we have found that some cable companies do have more problems than others with connections. The only thing I can say is to wait for the new beta or the release. However to be truthful it is not a Wireplay directly related problem.

The Operations division are well aware or the problem and are working with BT at this very moment to sort this problem out.

Do it now - I got cable two months ago and am still basking in the "nice ping" comments. I'm getting 40ish on clan servers and have lots of internet servers to play on.

I do miss the old crowd on Wp, but tend to meet up with the clan on the net instead.

Dial up sux, trust me :)

I had a week off sick a while back (hacking cough, felt really really rough) and spent it playing CS in a fevered haze - imagine trying that on peak rates...
