Take a look at this (http://www.videologic.com/ProductInfo/SonicFury.htm). How much stuff can this soundcard do?:O And you can buy it already at http://www.dabs.com :E I am thinking of buying this but is it any good - better than the SB Live?

:naughty::naughty::naughty::naughty::naughty::naughty::naughty::n aughty:

Any comments greatly appreciated...

Erm its just a standard Vortex 2 with a bit of free software? I have both a Vortex 2 and a SB Live 1024. IMO the SB is the better card.

Umm, wrong m8.

The Sonic Fury is an entirely different card to the Sonic Vortex. It uses a Turtle Beach chipset, it has apparently has hardware MP3 decoding and can also do Dolby and AC3 decoding in hardware. It has the ability to drive up to six speakers. It is supposed to be a much improved card over the Sonic Vortex and I shall be giving it a whirl once its available.

I haven't seen any reviews of it yet but I have heard it in action and it was good :)

Hehe you're both wrong, but X Cell is wronger. :) The SonicFury uses a Cirrus Logic DSP chip. The board will be made by Videologic and distributed in Europe, Australia and New Zealand. Voyetra Turtle Beach is just a company that distributes and probably makes the boards in North America under an agreement with Videologic. They will call it the Santa Cruz instead of the SonicFury. :monster: :monster:
