I have just created a site for our family business and it contains a lot of flash movies.

I have made a link from my intro page to macromedia's flash player download page
but is there a way to have the player downloaded automatically without the user knowing.
This would make the process much easier.

Also, what web browsers come with flash already installed?
I would assume most users browsers already have flash now.

p.s. Tell me what you think of the site. It's my first go at using flash and only the second site I've done.

Check out the site here --> Saxon Leaflets (http://www.saxonleaflets.co.uk/test/)

if you insert the full code for the flash movies (as per publish mode) it WILL ask you user if they want to d/l flash4 automatically if they don't have it (ie. it d/ls and then a box come up asking if they want to use it)

pretty much everyone has flash4 plug-in nowadays
IE comes with flash3 i think...

If memory serves, the flash player became standard with IE4 and Netscape 3.

The link to the Macromedia site is actually pretty good once you get there: it's just a case of clicking a couple of options and the rest of the process is automated.

Hope this helps.
