Anyone else getting piss poor performance from this patch. 420 runs perfect on my geforce but when I try the 425 patch everything goes to hell and slows down like i have a 486 or something in my PC. Any ideas? (Im back on the 420 patch which I am very happy with - very smoooothh)
It works a bit better for me but I have a TNT2 ultra, there is a beta version of direct3d driver you can use which may be better,www.voodooextreme.com

Try to get hold of the latest drivers for the GeForce card you own either use the ones from your card manufacturer or try the reference ones from nvidia.
remember to reinstall Directx7.0a after to ensure no files are corrupt.
try the 425 patch again as there are a few important fixes in this release (none to do with D3D) if you still have probs continue to use the 420 patch but send all the detail you can to utbugs425@epicgames.com

Cheers for your help guys - the graphics problem was sorted by the d3d driver but I have another problem with 425 now - every time i try "Find Internet Games", my system locks up. Basicly I click on find net games and nothing happens - the mouse locks up and the menu doesnt appear (but music continues). When I try cont. alt. del. to try to shut down UT nothing happens. I eventually have to hard reset to get out of this ... anyone else having this prob?
I am using the latest 533 detonator drivers and dx7.0a
