Any1 else get wrong serial port connector with supra express?

i need to know if Diamond have give me a duff connector or my PC's all pear shaped
the modem and my PC have the same serial connectors, i.e. 9-pin RECEIVER'S, but the connector cable i got with modem has a 9-pin plug, on 1 end and a 9-pin receiver on the other. So what i actually need is a connector with 2 9-pin plugs on either end
so whats wrong my PC, the modem, or the connector

all pc's that i've seen have male connectors. (with pins)

silly if u read the manuel in the cd case it tell u about this!!
it says u might not get a 29pin port
so uwill have to buy one 4 about a fiver
i got mine 4 3 quid
