Just go search for Final Fantasy 6 (also known as Final fantasy 3 outside of Japan) and get ZSNES too, its the best snes Emulator :E

I hated RPGs, then one of my m8's gave me his copy of FF7 and it was so mint I can't say a bad thing 'bout it.
I have to say though Square lost it big time on FF8 it was a pile of crap with no real story or character historys.

I think FF8 did emotions really well at some points but the storyline was a bit crappy ;(

I like the way the people follow behind you but I think I prefer the old Graphics style :cry:

The graphics were still better in FF8 though :D

I think i've said this before, but to prove my point i'll say it again.
I think Gran Turismo 2 is crap. And i have owned it before, I used up a lot of my life to play this game, so i think i can say MY opinion is relevent.
Why i think its crap? Cause i dont like simulators. Gimme ridge racer anyday, but GT2 is crap.

See my point? I think its crap cause its not my type of game.
Having said that i dun think FF8 was all that great either, i loved 4 and 6, 7 was not too bad, but 8 was bollocks, i didn't even bother finish the game (stopped at ultimecias castle).

Anyone played Vagrant Story? U gotta play that. There are heated arguements about what the ending actually means, well all i know is im sticking to my perception of the ending.

I see your point and I don't normally like simulations either, when I played Gran Turismo it annoyed me at first, specially having to do all those driving tests before I could actually get into the game, but once I started playing not only was it a good game I found it facinating to read about, I didn't used to like cars that much but GT really got me interested in them! :E

Yes and that stuff too, I know what you mean cause although it hurt my eyes big time i took ages reading about everything that i bought and the additional manual with GT2.

I felt like i could drive a real car after my overly long experience with GT/GT2.

Each to their own I suppose, but I've just embarked on my own Final Fantasy "quest" and thats to play every single version out there :)

I've got FF 1 to 8, and I'm playing thru 1 now and working my way up to 6, but I need to know what the other spinoffs are, e.g FF Tactics and Mystic Quest. I believe there were a few on the Gameboy? Anyone know what they were called?

There's also a Mystic Quest on the Gameboy, as well as FF2 and FF3, which I believe are different to the Snes ones.
