Anyone with a cable modem from NTL having trouble sending files through icq or connecting to things like Scour or napster?
cos ever since the gimps at NTL have been fookin around with the routers i aint been able to send through icq (get this error message:'ICQ can't allocate an available TCP listen port for incoming events') and scour tells me to check my network settings but i aint touched them :furious:
pissing me off...

Scour is pretty hit & miss I find anyway. Try logging in at a non-busy time and you'll probably find it's ok. Same with Napster.

ICQ's fine here (hants)

Are you using ZoneAlarm at all?

I was and was having the same problems with Napster (not had problems with ICQ sine I switched the connection type to LAN)

I've stopped using Zonealarm now (have sommat else) and nowNapster works all the time.

The router, as fars as the Notts network is concerned, seems fine. Not sure about other areas though. We seem to take it in turns to go bad.... :imubash:
