[B]REVIEW: DAWN OF THE DEAD
STYLE: SCI/HORROR
One of the most classical sequels to any "dead" genre. If you didn't read ;MY NOTD REVIEW (http://forums.gameplay.com/showthread.php?threadid=163699)you better check it out before you can learn what the film is tensely beased on and the whole storyline. Anyway as for you that have read it
, DOTD as i mentioned earlier was the "sequeal" or second-part to the orignal. DOTD takes place in America, News stations are flocking everywhere giving rescue station signals, reports on heavy based zombie status, and panicking live on tv. The zombies' have spread wider into the city, outskirts everywhere. Malls are closed down, evacuation plans are being taken out and army and police-men are dispatching with riot-gear to eliminate all of these "monsters". The film's characters are now different.
Two police-men are introduced (roger & peter) and news person francine, and along with that traffic reporter dave.
(aka flyboy). The whole film is now based inside a mall, and the 4 people dispatch in the mall thinking the place is safe, well for now... The film has more intense action scenes in it, and a stronger storyline, Plus the fact that theres more violence in all 3 versions. The scenario is taking a turn into intense force. Yokals shoot zombies for fun, army men are fighting along with police. The film's acting is good except for ken foree (If you've seen Kenan and kel he's kenans father) his acting is to bad. I enjoyed this more than NOTD because this has more action, intense story-line and some "weird scenes". i will continue the review in the 2nd part: Dawn of the Dead review revisited.
for now the result;
FILM: DAWN OF THE DEAD
DIRECTOR: G. ROMERO
OVERALL: 4.5/5- a very good film. The 3 diff versions and the more basis on why this is better is continued in part 2:
Dawn of the Dead revisited so wait for awhile.
