I tested net play tonight using the IPX emulator called Kali. It sets up an IPX network between both PC's (over the net) allowing you to load GP3 and select 'IPX network' game in the multiplayer menu. Im sorry to say that even with us both having PIII's, Geforce/Voodoo5500, 64k ISDN setups, it is unplayable :( The game may run fine for about 8-15 secs before it will pause/jerk for a moment then carry on again.
If you have had some luck let me know here............plz

What iz modem multiplayer like? (my m8 only has an ISDN adapter, no modem :) )

I would like to try it online, but since me and my m8s don't have a registered version of Kali we couldn't get it working. (btw we have broadband connections)

Is there any other progam that supports, to play games like GP3 online. (a free one) :)

sorry for any bad english...

My m8 and myself have played several modem to modem seshs without any probs at all,we did have a slight stutter on the 1st game, mainly due to 1 of us pitting. but once we both set baud rate to the highest,no probs.

I tried out Direct Modem last night but it was appallingly slow... Must have been about 10-12 fps, I reckon? I was running at 800x600 - the game said it estimated both machines would run at about 25.9 fps but there's no way it was that quick... And the steering controls were responding much more slowly than usual. Couldn't stop losing the back end... Am I doing something wrong, or have other people seen this?

Make sure you have modem selected at 56kbps i think the default is 33kbps also set the baud rate at the highest setting,it worked fine for us.Also make sure the fastest machine hosts.good luck.
