I realise im not nearly at the level required to make one of these, but I thought I might as well start collecting stuff now, so when the time comes I don't have to spend ages getting everything. As apart from Aclusal I don't think there are any other archers about, the rest of you won't have any use for, and I'll be quite happy to take off your hands, the following things:

Large Lugian Sinews
Great Matty Horns
Drudge Ravener Guts
Dark Revenant Bones (I will be really impressed if anyone has any of these :) )

So folks if you have any of those lieing around, feel free to donate them to my character, Knut. You can find him being squished
against a wall by large numbers of lugians..

ok thanks to all donations i now have a couple of matty horns and lots of sinews :) Now I need large quantities of drudge ravenrer guts. I don't know much about these guys except they are fairly hard and mostly in dires? Anyone like to tell me where i find them, and what level i should be before i go hunting them.

I've been hunting raveners in the south dires for the past couple of weeks, in this time I've only got two guts. They arent that tricky to take down aslong as they dont hit you with war magic, I can take two at a time quite easily but if I get hit more than three times with the war magic I'm running for it.
Oh and watch the unarmed ones, they're bloody quick and hit hard.

Guts also seem to be of high value, I was offered 3 for two cracked shards the other day (this should give you something to go by).

I'd like to help you with these but I'm looking for them myself, once I have my bow strung I'll help you out all I can.

yes, the bug is still in there :) yes they can hit you for 150+ damage :)

You must be talking about altered, the lesser ones with hit you for 20-40 points a pop. When you have two on you it only takes a few second before you're running whilst you still can.

no dent, the lesser ones can hit you for that much aswell :)

there's a bit of a bug in the unarmed code for monsters...

seems to me getting guts will be probably hardest part apart from dark rev bone :). You need 3 guts per string, say your alchemist fails one, so thats 6 guts, and theres no guarantee u will do it first string (in fact quite liekly u wont) so u may end up needing 12 guts or something :)

I've heard stories or people snapping 3 strings and worse, just make sure you get you're bow skill to 210+ and you should get it the fist time.....i think

something like that anyhow, if I get mine first time I got a couple of guts for you. ;)

i heard it was more like 250+ buffed, over 200 base. And there are 2 chances to fail.
1. your alchemist can duff the string and make it not top qualiaty
2. u can snap it.

so you could end up using lots of guts :)

The 210+ I was talking about was the base skill. ;)

I got another 2 guts last night, that gives me a total of 4. I'm gonna try and get the bow together this weekend.

I'll have to get the horns carved at some point, fancy coming along?

yeah sure providing you can summon to ayan :) im no running there. One of the problems i foresee is finding trustworthy cooks/alchemist/fletcher with a high enough skill level.
