I'm trying to make a table with some parts only about 3-5 pixels high, I can type in the height in Dreamweaver v3 but it makes no visible difference and I can't drag it small than what it starts out, I've also looking at the html source and it says what I've typed in of 5 but doesn't look it.

I've also tried it a brand new 1 row high table with nothing in it and still don't wanna know.

Anything I'm doing wrong?

best thing to do is make a transparent gif that is 2x2 in size. then put this in the cell that you want to make 5 pixels high, and it should go that size.

works for me anyway! :E

Yea, tables were an arse for me too... sometimes it wont show the proper html in the dreamweaver window, so try pressing F12 to get a preview in IE or netscape, whatever u use...

OR, make sure you dont have any other text/ images in other cells which may be stopping you from making another cell smaller...

Hope this helps :pimp:

On the subject of previewing in Dreamweaver, I personally NEVER use the F12 function.

Instead, save your page, minimize it then use explorer to find the file. Double click it and it'll open it in a new browser window.

The beauty of this is that when you modify your page in Dreamweaver, you can refresh the browser window instantly instead of having to close the preview then hit F12 again.

Um dude, you don't need to close the window. Pressing F12 after you've saved your changes(ctrl+s)overwrites the previous image in the browser.

True, but it's also quicker to hit the refresh button than do the F12 thing.

Point taken, though.

I think the reason I avoid this is because the 1st install I did of DW was corrupted and the F12 Preview sometimes threw up errors, so I got into the habit of not using it.
