AC keeps freezing

Like it says, every so often it keeps on freezing. It can be just after I've joined or an hour or so into the game. It's fairly annoying, especially in a battle or when I've got auto-run on as I usually end up dead. No other game does this, any ideas what could be causing it?

Spec: AMD K6-2 450, 128 meg ram, v3 3000 agp, Asus ISDN card, Sonic Vortex 2.

Top! I need some help with this! My friend said he had the same problem and the only solution was to run in software mode until he formatted the PC...I don't want to do this. Any suggestions?

Unfortunately, theres pretty much sweet monkee nats that can be dun bout LAG and freeze-ups , and theres little worse than being slap bang in the middle of Insulting a Golem by calling him an "OMFG COW MOLESTER!" to suddenly find joor self utterly powerless to run from his rapidly approachin over-sized melons ;(

But I'm very sure this isn't a lag problem. Although my ping seems laughable (bout 300) for ISDN (as opposed to 50 in TFC) the connectivity is very good. I can be stood still in the middle of no-where and I just freeze totally. It never comes back. My friend in RL said he had the same problem as did another friend and resetting his BIOS seemed to do it. Also playing in software mode cured it. I've reset my bios and it's had no effect. Software mode isn't an option...formatting likewise.

300 isnt a bad ping, the servers are in the U.S so a lower ping without a serious connection isnt going to happen.

bloomin lag...mutter mutter moan moan

Last night - me chuffed wiv new sword bashing on an obeloth lugian (note I can normally take on at least 2 of these lil swines no probs)......all of a sudden it all freezes and whaddya know Meia goes from being rockard chick to dead chick!!!! I HATE lag deaths. grrrrrr. :(

hrrmm... I'm on a 56K and I very very rarely lag out... nowhere near as much as my ISDN friends (*waves to dent and dnx*).

If I die it's generally from an obscene crit from some beastie, or finding myself stuck with a hoard of beastie betwen me and the place where I want to run away to...

nowadays I just stand back from fighting stance, pull out the old item wand and portal recall out of there, it's saved my bum sooo many times...
