WP Alleginace Server???

Can someone explain to me how exactly to get on this WP Allegiance server?
Do you go through the Wireplay software?

The only way to get onto the Wireplay server currently is to load Allegiance, and join it in the public servers section. I just checked the log file, and it seems very popular...

Also I'm getting an Auto Update whenever I try and play.
It says 1/264 or something and it's taking ages.
I've given up for now but do I have to go through with it?

Unfortunalty Alleg has the worst auto-update system of all (IMO). Everytime they release a patch, which is quite often, it will happen. On average it will be approx 15mins, and has to be done, there is no other way :(
