can anyone get a lower ping than 90 on a modem ??

how m8, any special tweaks that you do? or are you living in the bt exchange?

well. i live on a scotish island so i wouldent think my line wos especialy good..it's about 20 years old, i live about half a mile from exchange.and i'v done all the tweaks i could find :)

well the best I have ever pinged with my supra 56 PRO e is 63 ms but that was pinging my ISP at about 3am : ). I hit 113ms once on the wireplay KOTS servers but i am using (surftime) FREESERVE, so i guess it can be improved. Im going to try and start play HL online I hear the ping is much better than Q2.

can someone explain this, i was pinging my favorite server with my new modem and a ping programme, and pings around and under 100 i got. but when i joined the game in Q2 the ping was IXS of 150ms, i can figure that running the game is going to add a little to your ping but over 150% of the 'non-q2' ping. Urm its silly :l

Im averaging 105ms with my old US Robotics to the Ultima Online server but thats with NTL. Problem with NTL is that their routers get PMT and you suddenly start getting packet loss and bad pings..and it happens more than once a month.

were can you get a supra express? try dabs online their prices arnt to bad but i suggest you go to a small independant shop, (if their are any near you) and order one- they tend to have the most competative prices.

Ps dont waste your time ar somewhere like PC WORLD
