I've been to the bhmotorsports site and d/l the fix for it.
It contains a profile and a .con file.
I don't use the profiler (too much stuff in my systray already) and I'm a bit mystified as to what to do with these files.
What do I need to do?

C'mon guys.
Y'know the switches behind the wheel?
Most commonly used for gear change?
How can anyone have the system tray so full that you won't use the profiler?
the profiler is one thing that is great with Sidewinder.
It is a good practice to close all programs that you don't need running when U play games.
U MUST have the the MS profiler running! The two files you have are for as follows....
1. Load MS profile activator and select file/new profile. Load in the profile you downloaded.
2. Copy the .con file into gp3/Gpsaves dir. Load game and go into controller options. Load the controller file you put into that dir!
3. Read some readme.txt files more often........ :)

You might fin that the MS Force Feedback Wheel pulls left in GP3, get the patch from my homepage.

Bah. Is that the only way?
Until now, I haven't actually found a program that needs the profiler (and I've got a lot of driving games), the game itself remembers the keys/FF settings etc. The profiler was just a waste of memory.
I do switch off un-necessary ones, but it's such a pain, loading all the ones for surfing, or selecting the ones for online play (I use batch programs to shorten this btw) etc. etc.
I've had no problems with the FF btw.
If you're using a UCB FF, then you shouldn't have any probs. The reason you need the profiler for paddles in GP3 is that Geoff Crammond is stuck in a post-college hippy timewarp and hasn't been out to the shops and seen what controllers were released after the Kempston Joystick for the ZX Spectrum.
If you use the Paddle setup that I posted under MS non-FF the paddles will work properly, if you use the other guys, I think they don't work quite right

Maybe alot of the games don't NEED the profiler but what if you want to pause the game or have another keybord command present on the controller , I for one move the keyboard away when I use the wheel so it's a bit of a hassle to screw around with the keyboard when you have the wheel in place.

I put it on http://www.bhmotorsports.com - I set up Shift & Space as key emulation for button 7 & 8 - check under the name Rob Hayden.
For some reason, that wasn't how the other fella's posting up there worked, so my paddles didn't change gear usin ghis setup. I also added some driving aid toggles on 3 of the buttons in the centre of the wheel.

P.S. I meant USB earlier, of course.
