I'm a level 13 war mage/life mage and I need to find a good hunting spot. I started off at holtburg killing drudges, the moved on to the eastham beach killing golems and grommies. They're getting a bit boring/easy now, anyone got any good suggestions of where i can gain some cheap exp? Preferably in the open because it's best for mages.

Ummm not very knowledgeable about magey type things (apart from the bit of Item/Life I use) but how about the newbie fort along Heb beach, you can perch on the battlements and blast mossies

There's a good dungeon near Glenden Wood that velvet took me to, I think it has a level restriction of 15+, but I'm not exactly sure. Check AC vault for the Underground Dungeon I think it's called a couple of minutes run out of GW. It contains mainly Banderling Ravers, 2 breeders and a couple of guards, 2 water wisps and a ghost wisp right at the end. Try there I levelled quite quickly.

Bandy, try tibri's fire cave just outside cragstone

It's full to the brim of lesser bandies, even has a bandy captain down in the basement, and tibri's fire spear (worth 2K pyreals) spawns down in one of the rooms.
Definately one of eric's favourite dungeons.

Aye, I'll check it out. Eastham beach is pretty good for lvl 9 - 15. Golems are worth nice exp, and also I'm finding the ghost village pretty good. Nice matty, nice matty :)

Have any of these places got a nice comfy spot for a war mage to perch? Always good to have somewhere to put up me tent and roast a few marshmellows :)

Bandy fire cave is rough on mages, I know, I tried..... it's pretty much a melee place.

Mage work wonders against golems though

Aye that's true. Sort out the golems with spell after spell from a distance they is so slow. By the time they get to me, if they do, they might get 1 hit in before I hit em with something hard to finish em :)

The ghost town near Soushi is actually quite good for mages. Lugians (2 types, a level 15 one and the level 18 amploth) are piss to kill. Just keep firing, dodge the rocks and they never come after you. You can take down the white and snowy mattys from a distance too which is nice :)

Southern beach at Mayoi. Stacks of slow water, and mud golums. Also a granite stuck in a tower for you to drain. 2500xp a pop: Crater Cave. Good for Mages +15. Lots of good drain spots. Don't go too far down or you'll meet the Magma golum. Level 101.
