Gameplay Staff in here. About the WPTF2L

I recently registered the http://www.wptf2l.co.uk domain name, and I wish to run the site with a bit of help from the Gameplay community :)
But I need to know is this ok, and is it possible to make it official.

Any help would be greatly appreciated and if you want to see a small demo site that I created (to see if I could be a webby designer) check out the addy in my sig :)

TF2 isn't gonna be out til the end of 2001 though...

Yeah, I know it wont be out for a while (I heard spring 2001) But I want to make sure the site is a hit, cause YF2 is going to be a massive game, so I really need to do a lot of work on it, and get it right :) This is why, if I am gonna put such a big effort into it, I need to make sure that it's official :)

hehe. i registered a site awhile back with a view to set up a TF2 community site when the game came out. Get in touch m8 and we'll see if we can put our heads together and make somthing out of the two sites

2001? It'll probably be abit crap or out dated by then unless they update it- I thought they delayed it tillaround December of this year? Hope you're wrong Skunk :{ :{

A bit outdated
hmmm, some how me dont think that voice over the net, class graphics, advanced rendering, lip syncying will be outdated by next year.
Take a look at Half-life, it runs the Quake 2 engine, you call it outdated?

I think if valve realeased TF2 from what I have seen and read, in spring 2002, it would still but cutting edge....

but maybe thats only me :)

It's delayed until 2001 mainly because tehy decided to write a completely new game engine for it - rather than improving the Half-Life engine.

hmmm, just hope its a good engine, one with knobbly bits and pink clowns :p

Naw, valve know what they r doing... you would think after 2 class games though, they would learn that we all want more of their stuff, and to hire some more staff and get it out there, cause lets face it, there is gonna be patch after patch for the game, even if they don't rush it out!

I don't know that we can give you an official answer - partly because TF2 is such a long way off and partly because we still aren't sure if it will be limited to WON only (i.e Wirpelay won't be allowed to run servers for it).

E-Mail velvet@gameplay.com for the official answer - it may take him some time to respond mainly due to the ludicrous amount of e-mail he recieves.

I registered a site once.

foxinteractive.com it was called - all about my midnight activities with that red bushy tailed animal.

Then some unknown git of an american tv company said they wanted the site. So fair enough I asked for $3,000,000 and Sarah Michelle Gellar.

Feckers took me to court!

To cut a long story short they got the website, I got no money what so ever, and to make matters worse I've been banned from every single national park in the UK ;(

Where's the justice eh?
