I just downloaded the newest version of WP3 and signed up a new User name.

When I typed in my user name and password it said I had an invalid password, I knew this was definitly untrue and typed in my password 4 more times but it still didn't work.

I tried to sign up again but apparently Mad Izzie, Mad_Izzie and -Mad Izzie- all count as the same username or had already been registered (which I really doubt) and [UKSFG]Mad Izzie wouldn't fit ;(

The only thing that I can think of that might cause me a problem is that when the software asked me what modem I was using there was no modem in the list so I just clicked next....I am on a Cable modem, I don't see why this would make it say I have the wrong password but I could see how it might not let me connect, are Cable modems compatible with Wireplay 3?

I can't get the other Wireplay software to work at the moment and I wanna be able to go on powerplay anyway! :(

Lo m8,

Just a silly suggestion: the registration process is case-sensitive... Are you using EXACTLY the same configuration of upper and lower case in your username and password at login that you did when you registered?

If that's not the prob get back to us!

also mate I tried putting in my previous wp2.30 login..
that didn't work DOH
You have to register again, with a real name and then put in your alias afterwards

Mad Izzie, if you like I can send your account details to the registered mail account?

I think the problem you were having was that we strip out all non-alphanumeric value before checking the account name, so all your attempts would be 'MADIZZIE'.

DizMat, as you say the WP3 accounts Database is seperate from the wp2.3 one, so you will need to register a new account to access wp3. One reason this has been done is because of the large number of unused accounts that have been registered for wp2.3.

Hope this helps,
Kaylin

My password is completely lower case and that is how I typed it, I did re-register (and thankfully was allowed to use my name since the old wireplay software turned down around 30 suggestion most of which I would not ever expect to be taken, it seemed to just not like me ;( ).

You could try sending me my password again ( mad_izzie@hotmail.com ) but I am definitly typing in the right one..... :hmph:

Are Cable Modems compatible with Wireplay 3 and could the fact I am currently on holiday in America make it not work?
