View Full Version : A couple more gameplay questions....

OK. 2 questions here :)

1) When I'm driving the car will move along (after I get it started from the pits) by itself at 19mph. So when I spin and start going into reverse, then 1st etc, I have to hold it on the brakes which is annoying. I also feel it may be keeping my revs up in slow corners which, again, I'd rather it didn't.
I've tried calibrating my wheel (MS Sidewinder FF btw) so that it will cancel this out, but it still goes to 19mph, as though it is supposed to do that.

2) Minor one here. Is it possible to stop the computer from limiting your speed in the pit lane approach. I used to enjoy trying to get down the pit lane, up to the speed limit point, as quick as I could in gp2, but now it stops this and forces you to slow right down even before the speed limit bit.

Any help much appreciated.

Thanks,

Omar :E

I have the same wheel, with no problems.

The only thing I can think it may be is the calibration.
The pedals act as the Y-axis, so @ the point where u tell it zero should be, there must be some activation.

Make sure your pedals don't have any obstructions (clean them out) and make sure u have nothing else plugged in that could interfere.

U could try artifically rigging the calibration.
i.e. when it asks for the centre position, step on the brake very slightly.

When you are in first the car will move forward automatically to stop it from stalling, try neutral:E

I can't remember, but isn't there a deadzone setting in the advanced controls menu ? I know there is for steering - if there's one for throttle, increase the deadzone a bit and this would fix it.

I've tried rigging the calibration, and also setting the deadzone with no effect.

It's ok if there's an explanation for it though. Never really thought of it being there to stop stalling, I'd quite enjoy trying to avoid stalling though. But it could become a bit too frustrating I suppose.
Is there anyone who's car doesn't move forward by itself?

Thanks for the help,

It happens to me too m8! I think that if you pulled away in an F1 car, it will slowly move down the track, even in 1st gear, they don't have auto clutches :)

I have same wheel (MSFF)
