ok ok, I'm about to come into 'possesion' of a DVD player

Region free of course ;)

Now, tell me what I ask of you in the title :)

I heard Woolies do a 3 for £30 deal? Or sommat? Any good?

And whatabout Gameplay, they do DVDs as well, but how do they price up against other high street stores?

Woolies did 2 for £30 a while ago but not at the moment. For high street prices Game is the best I have seen at 3 for £40. Sometime WH SMith does buy one get one halfprice but only on back catalogue titles and not new releases.

Online R1 is your best bet though...www.dvdboxoffice.com is canadian (better exchange rate against CAD than USD) and they do free international shipping (about £11 - £34 per disc) If you want an R1 disc quickly then Play247.com are based in jersey, most discs £17.99 to get round customs and 2 day free delivery usually.

Hope this helps,

Yup, Play247's a good source for DVD's.

Keep your eyes open for 3 for 2 offers in local stores though as you can pick up a lot of titles at bargain prices with this kind of deal.

So far where I live Blockbuster and WH Smith's have had month long 3 for 2 promotions.

You can use http://www.dvdupdate.com to compare prices of online stores that sell R1 and R2.

Play247 is pretty good, as is dvdboxoffice (Canadian and free international shipping. Coo!).
