T2 was the first sign of Cameron's decline into big budget gloss.

Look at the first Terminator movie - mankind hanging by a thread against the might of Skynet. Remember the scenes of Reece and humanity in the ravaged future where everyone is wearing battered, ragged outfits?

Compare that to T2 where the human resistance are wearing matching military uniforms like a proper financed army...

Very true. I've said it before, but the brief future war intro sequence in T2 has absolutely none of the drama, poignancy, or even intensity of the flashbacks (forwards?) from the first film.

Most of T2 is eye-candy. Terminator had a much sharper edge to it despite it's budget limitations.

Funny thing about T2 - the HK models *look* like models! Watch the scene where they fire a stinger missile at one and and drops to the floor in low-budget tacky fashion. In comparison the same ships look *big* in the original!!

Eddie Furlong wasn't too bad.

The Plank of Wood who passed for Anakin Skywalker in Episode 1 was a different story...

Actually, despite my criticisms of the film, I ordered it yesterday - My main reason being it will be nice to finally see the uncensored version.
