Connecting with 24/7 isp

Hi, I use wireplay and have recently changes to madasafish's 24/7 'timezone' connection, but since doing so my ping has gone from 130ish to a steady 400, this problem is only with wireplay servers, i can play on any other uk server and ping 150 or so. Im not the only madasafish user with this problem, ive spoken to others on this service and we all have the same problem. Any ideas?, ive got all my rates etc correct and compression is off, but it wont play under 400. This rate is rock steady though so it aint a connection prob. Any help for us would be greatfully receieved as i play with my clan and friends on wireplay and at the mo as you can imagine the games are unplayable. One more note that may help, if i play on fortress servers my ping is 200, its only on 1v1 quake 3 that the ping is high, and it stays the same even if i connect to w/p using q3 multiplayer window. Hi Kalimera,

Were these changes absolutely necessary? If the ping has gone up then obviously the optimal connection has been somehow changed. It might be prudent to reinstate the old settings. What's the state of your drivers?

there is going to be some maintanance performed on the servers tomorrow which may improve performance...

I'd do a tracert to a wp server that is giving you trouble. You need to open up a dos window and then type tracert then the servers IP address. I bet that you are being routed via america....
Of course I may be wrong and with the new netfeed coming online this week these high pings will be a thing of the past ;)
