How to copy DVDs?

Does anyone know if it is possible to copy your DVDs on a DVD RAM drive such as this Creative one http://store.europe.creative.com/detail.asp?pid=996&section=8
Can you just copy them like you do with a CD in a CD RW.

Most DVDs are around 7GB.

Also, DVDs recorded in a DVD ram drive can only be read back in another DVD ram drive, not a regular DVD drive.
