Soz Arby did not mean to make you splutter it was the heat of the moment thing (with a touch of alcohol) that made me so excited - couldn't contain meself :laugh:

Snell that was very nice of you to suggest me and yes I would make a brilliant moderator (swish of the tail as I preen myself) but as Dusk says it is a thankless task which can make you unpopular. At work sometimes I am not the flavour of the month so to speak and I use this forum as a release - just to be myself without judgement if you get my drift :) To post on a forum and be a moderator of that forum would to me be inhibitting (sp) :) Although sometimes I wish I had the power of the delete button but the occasions when I feel that are extremely rare :)

Cheesebury you tart - let the blokes that post here and not lurk get the position if one is going :)

As for female moderators methinks Dusk and Grace should do the job :) We are virtually the same posters but perhaps Dusk wants a forum to post on where she is not a moderator and I can respect that :)

yes, that's true, they're lurvly people, worthy of respect and big hugs, but they already have mod privileges...they can always intervene here if necessary and they already mod the GG forum. I think they should be able to post here free of the overly responsible position mods seem to have to take. Therefore they can mod the GG forum but have free rein just to post here in the SF and have fun rather than having to watch out for nasty peeps. Does that make sense?

I proberly won't be picked (cause i don't always conform to GP's ways of thinking), but i don't see why the others shouldn't.

BTW just spent the weekend in salisbury plain, when we heard that the SAS/SBS and Para's went in to get our boys out.

We also heard there were casualty's. Don't know how many, i am very much hoping for as little as possible, but i heard as many as 40 west side boys maybe dead, and fighting was continuing as we pulled back. I believe all that are comming out are out now.

Total respect, and my commisarations to the familys of our killed in action.

Well that should tell everyone the Britsh mean business, and you can not kidnap British service men without a reaction. Hopefully the price we payed wasn't too high, but we will not see another kidnaping at gun point i would imagine.

I am sorry, but in no post I have ever posted on any forum have I made a personal attack on a person. I would never use a keyboard, pen, communication device to persoannly berate a person or "have a go" I made my opion clear that I felt the moderating was "over the top" that is not a personal attack on Dusk, but in the moderating of the forum. Dusk herself admitted that sometimes it is hard where to draw the line. Any reference to East German Police was meant, and I believe was taken, as a joke.

I am leaving for London now, unfortunately I won't be able to reply to any posts until later tonight.

..and just as its sometimes difficult to know where to draw the line, its also sometimes difficult to know whether what epople are typing is meant seriously or not.
