Grim Fandango....is pissin me off :/

i have been stuck at the same spot for about a year now and since i have just spotted this forum i will ask u lot...

i am in the lift in the casino near the end of year 2 and am trying to retrieve the suitcase for the chap whos name i have forgotten its that long since i saw him...i have spotted the secret level and assume you are supposed to use the fork lift to try and stop the lift there. however i am unable to get manny from pressing the button to ready to drive the forklift before the secret floor has gone past. he is just too slow :(

ne of u know what i am supposed to do?
plz tell me as i really want to finish this game...

have you installed the patch, as there was a problem with computers over 400 mhz going to fast in that area, maybe that would help? get it here:- ftp://ftp.lucasarts.com/patches/pc/gfupd101.exe
if you've already got it or have a slow cpu then you'll just have to do it quicker won't u :D

hey guess what....i am stuck again, i am tryna get the coral lamp off the funny little singin gnome fella after the ship sank, i have exhausted all the conversation and have tried to pull it off his head a coupla times...what do i do?

If memory serves you ave to use glottis to do that, cant remember how for the life of me tho, sorryc ant be more elp.

while you're holding the lantern simply turn towards glottis and he'll do the rest, simple huh. :)

i just assumed u couldnt do that...theres a lesson for ya, just cos he always sez "im a spirit of the land manny, not of the sea" (imagaine it in a whinin voice if u dont have the game) most of the time dont mean he always will
