Can you possibly expalin to me the cause of this horrid thing?

It's causing me so much grief,4 out of 5 times i excecute quake 2.What is it?It won't go once i ge it and I'm forced to restart.I REALLY don't want to reinstall windows.I'm in a true fiddle.So far norton hasn't helped either.

hmm, if this is happening alot, it could mean windowsw is dying....

try uninstalling it, run scandisk to make sure that any bad clusters are noted and not used. defrag, then reinstall.

make sure u have planty of room for a swap file on the partition windows is on.

also use ctrl-alt-del to shut down any background programs (u only need explorer and systray in there).
