Hi m8 i saw an interview with Geaoge lucas a few months ago m8.He said that he would`nt release any of the starwars movies on DVD until he had made the other 2 films.Meaning it`ll be a 6 DVD box set ,So i spose that`ll be 2006.:(

Yeah just slightly. :)

You probably all know he has absolutely no reason not to release them right now, other than the fact he is still sulking that his THX sound format wasn't made standard on DVD.

Allegedly. :D

Absolutely true. If he's not worried about releasing them on VHS he's absolutely no excuse for not releasing them on DVD.

If he wants to release a definitive set further down the road all well and good.

There is a rumour over at http://www.thedigitalbits.com that all 4 dvds could be out before christmas of this year.

Also Lucas put a lot of money into DiVX, and that failed, so he is also not in any rush to release DVDs because of this.

Good point. :)

Here's a question for all you Star Wars fans out there -- How many times (to date) have you bought the Star Wars trilogy?

I've owned three copies so far; original pan and scan, the widescreen editions and the remastered (never to be seen again) edition set. Luckily a friend bought the special editions before me so I saw how crap they were.

Don't you think Lucas should offer some kinda trade-in deal or something?
